Positive Peace and Libyan Youth - Participant Profiles
Tunis, April 2017: Last week 16 young Libyans participated in ‘Positive Peace and Libyan Youth’; the course was delivered by the Institute for Economics and Peace, in partnership with the EU Committee of Regions and UNICEF.
Following the ongoing conflict in the country, many young people in Libya are susceptible to recruitment by violent organisations. The course aimed to open dialogue, investigating how to build the attitudes, institutions and structures that create and sustain peaceful societies. In the first four participant profiles, IEP’s Serge Stroobants talks expectations, upcoming projects and their hopes for the future.
