OSCE Conflict Cycle Seminar
The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s event will look at the role of the security sector in conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
Jointly organised by the Slovak Chairmanship and the Conflict Prevention Centre at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, this year’s Conflict Cycle Seminar will allow participating states to examine the role of the security sector within the different phases of the conflict cycle. Discussions will focus on good practises and lessons learned.
The event will highlight the role of the security sector governance and reform, in providing security, early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and resolution, post-conflict rehabilitation and peacebuilding.
A representative from the Institute for Economics and Peace will present findings on the Positive Peace Index and data demonstrating the factors that sustain peaceful societies and provide the basis for sustainable development.
