Global Trends in Armed Conflict event in Berlin
Find out about the latest data on contemporary conflict and what’s inside the recently released Global Peace Index.
The Global Public Policy Institute (GPPI), the International Institute for Stategic Studies (IISS), and the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) invite you to a presentation and expert roundtable discussion in Berlin, on the release of IISS’ Armed Conflict Survey 2019 and IEP’s Global Peace Index 2019.
A standard reference work on contemporary conflict, the IISS Armed Conflict Survey provides in-depth analysis of the political, military and humanitarian dimensions of all major armed conflicts, as well as data on fatalities, refugees and internally displaced persons.
Each year, the Global Peace Index measures levels of peace around the world, ranking 163 countries – 99.7 per cent of the world’s population. The report presents the most comprehensive data-driven analysis to date on peace, its economic value, trends, and how to develop peaceful societies.
The event will be followed by a light reception.
