German Peace Index 2020 Webinar
The Brandenburg Institute for Society and Security will host a webinar on IEP’s new German Peace Index 2020
On May 29th at 10 a.m. German time (UCT+2) the Brandenburg Institute for Society and Security (BIGS) will present, together with IEP, the new German Peace Index 2020.
BIGS is an independent, non-partisan non-profit institute in Potsdam, Germany with the mission of building bridges between theory and practice to improve research in civil security through a multi- and interdisciplinary approach.
The internationally renowned Australian Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) is known by many in connection with the Global Peace Index. In 2019, Germany placed 22nd out of 163 countries on the GPI. Since 2013, however, there have been positive developments in Germany in connection with social peace, which prompted researchers at IEP to give Germany special consideration and its own country index.
Speakers from IEP presenting in the webinar are Serge Stroobants, the Director of Europe and MENA and Mohib Iqbal, a Senior Research Fellow and co-author of the German Peace Index.
