IEP recently released the Global Peace Index 2020 report, which measures peace and its economic impact. The report presents one of the most comprehensive, data-driven analysis on trends in peace, and how to develop peaceful societies. The report also analyzes the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on peace, specifically how its economic consequences will increase the risk of severe deteriorations in positive peace over the next few years.

Francesca Batault, SSH’19: Francesca is currently attending the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she is pursuing a Msc in International Relations. Francesca graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Politics Philosophy and Economics. While at Northeastern, Francesca undertook multiple international opportunities, doing a co-op at the International Committee of the Red Cross Regional Delegation in South Africa in 2018, attending the prestigious United Nations dialogue in 2017 and returning to serve as a Teaching assistant for the program, after her graduation in 2019.
